Throughout my childhood all the way up until now my mom was never the Betty Crocker type. But one thing I do remember is that we’ve always been a cheeseburger and fries type of family.
In high-school I remember getting those text messages from my mom telling me to get the ground chuck out of the freezer so it would be thawed out in time for when she got off of work. A huge smile would make its way across my face because I knew what was on the menu.
I also knew that my day was bound to be a million times better from one little text message. My mom would come home with all the necessary condiments onions, tomato’s, lettuce, and pickles. My sister, mom, and I to this day still talk about how we’ve always been burger types of girls.
Welllllll except now since I’m a vegetarian and I haven’t been to keen to the veggie burgers I’ve come across I don’t get to experience the burger type of girl days anymore. Which is fine because I’m sure there is that perfect tasty veggie burger out there waiting for me I just haven’t found it yet.
So while my mom and sister still brag on their burger type of girls lifestyles I just sit on the sideline just waiting and I do mean waitingggggg on my perfect veggie burger to make its way into my life and into my stomach. Well folks that’s all I really have for all of you today on this lovely Nevada night. Happy writing and have a great night.
